This is a pre-launch privacy foundation for the QuizBix website. It requires final professional legal review before a public production launch.
Information stored in your browser
QuizBix may use LocalStorage in your browser to remember your light or dark theme preference, current topic and question or page position, selected question language, submitted answers, open hints, bookmarked question IDs, and private Workspace notes.
This learning information stays in the current browser on the current device. Signing in does not currently upload, merge, back up, or synchronize it between browsers or devices.
Keeping or clearing local information
Clearing browser storage, using private or incognito browsing, changing browser, or changing device may remove saved progress, answers, bookmarks, notes, language, and theme preferences. QuizBix does not currently provide cloud backup, recovery, or cross-device restoration for this information.
Private Workspace notes
Workspace notes are saved locally in your browser for the relevant question. They are not currently sent to QuizBix, synchronized, backed up, or recoverable by QuizBix.
Question reports
The Report action transfers selected question details, the chosen reason, and any optional note to the Contact page through URL query parameters. No report is currently sent to QuizBix because a verified submission backend and approved public contact channel do not yet exist.
Sharing
When you activate Share, the website may use your browser or device sharing system, or copy a direct question link to the clipboard when supported. You decide whether to continue and which available destination to use.
Accounts and personal profiles
QuizBix supports Google sign-in and email/password accounts through Firebase Authentication. Email/password accounts use email verification and may request Firebase password-reset emails. Firebase Authentication processes account identity, including your email, display name, profile photo, verification status, sign-in providers, and account creation time.
Private QuizBix profile preferences are stored in Cloud Firestore and may include your preferred question language and avatar source. You can edit your display name through Firebase Authentication and use a Google photo, initials, or a custom profile image. A custom image is center-cropped and resized in your browser, then stored as a WebP image in Firebase Cloud Storage. Profiles are not public.
Learning progress, submitted answers, bookmarks, Resume state, and Workspace notes remain browser-local. Profile editing does not upload or synchronize that learning data, and cross-device learning synchronization is not yet available.
Analytics, advertising, and payments
The current website does not use analytics, advertising, subscriptions, or payment processing. If these services are introduced later, this page must be updated to describe the relevant data handling before they are enabled.
Changes and contact availability
This foundation may change as the website develops. A verified public privacy contact channel and a reviewed revision date will be provided before production launch.
